Yeah, you read that right. We've been at the airport since a little after 4pm to catch a 5pm flight. Guess what? Flight delayed. Nothing out of the ordinary for business travel right? Well the "maintenance issue" plane just didn't cut the mustard so the flight that was delayed to 5:50 was not technically canceled but had a later flight take it's place to DEN. Our connecting flight was since gone on to DFW and the plan is now to catch an 8:30 flight to DEN, lay over and fly out to DFW in the morning.
I'd take a delay any day over a "maintenance issue" as I've been through that before.
Any fabulous travel stories you'd like to share? I'm sure by the time this is over I'll have more to add.
I think I can...

I haven't been on a plane since 2 weeks before 9/11. Not that I'm scared to fly, but I prefer to drive and the idea of even longer lines since then is really unappealing.
But here's a travel story. Last time we drove to Utah, it took 24 hours (instead of 16), we took a wrong turn and didn't realize it for a long time, both of our headlights went out at once, we hit snow, and then on the way back, there was a major windstorm and our then 4-year-old started throwing-up in the car in the middle of a snowy pass where there was no shoulder and we had packed all of the extra clothes in the luggage rack carrier above.
That was two years ago and I haven't had a desire to take a long trip since. :) But I'm thinking we're due for one.
